The skin around his cuticles is either torn or scabbed over, and there's a bruise stretching across his first two knuckles. Probably from the poor schmuck he almost beat to death in that fountain. "I, uh." Clench, unclench. Scratch, scratch, scratch. "I'm kind of-- at the end of my rope." Again, he tries to smile. Again, he fails. And his eyes remain that perfect, placid dark brown.
