Wow another great day on the bike. We had great weather and strong tails winds pushing us towards Oakville and the end of this epic ride event. Best of all is knowing that the teams efforts have already raised over $280,000 this year for Pancreatic Cancer Research. The fundraising pages will stay open until the end of June. We are hoping that we can crack the $300,000 mark. Great camaraderie and new friends. A job well done by all. I will post the 7 day summary shortly.

Last night I didn’t sleep well and had muscle cramps in my legs. Me as my today was slower but all good.

I stayed to the back of the group today and enjoyed the ride with different folks. Help fix a flat…had my Electrical shifting fail…my fault I didn’t charge it the last night. This meant I rode the last 15 kms with just one gear.

Definitely looking forward to Saturday when I don’t have to ride.

Another interesting day on the bike. Completely different from the day before. Rain to start and torrential rain for the last 10-15 kms. Enjoyed pushing myself off the front today to do a bit of TT.

A day of warm temperatures ( 35 Celsius) and strong headwinds for most of the ride made this one of my toughest day on a bike. I completed the route with the help of a strong team with seven riders.

Not matter how tough it seemed It was nothing compare to what people suffering with Pancreatic cancer have to deal with.

Our ride has already raised over $252,000 for research. Thank you for your support every dollar donated goes to research.

Day 3 traditionally has two routes…one long and one longer. For the first time I felt confident in going for the longer ride. This is my longest ride ever but it went well. We had some strong winds to deal with but we managed to organize into a nice rotating pace line that kept us moving with being to exposed for too long at the front of the group. My 4 months of training has really paid off and although I’m tired now I rode strong right to the end.
