RACE DAY:

Saturday July 6, 2024 7:00am near Hatzic Elementary School on Draper Street

Pre-Race (Registration):

June 1, 2024 10:00am - 3:00pm at Mission Leisure Center, 7650 Grand Street

If we happen to be rained-out the dates will change to:

Race Rain Out Day: June 8, 2024

The Mission Soapbox Derby Association does have a number of soapbox cars available for people to use for the day if they do not have their own. People are encouraged however to build or bring their own car to show off their personal, stylized "hot rod".

To register for the Soapbox Derby event, please come to our pre-race day. Registration forms can be found on our resources page. Registrations will not be taken on race day due to event timings being calculated prior to the event day.

The registration cost is:

Child (8 to 14 years old): $35.00
Adult (15 years and up): $35.00

The Mission & District Soapbox Derby Association was incorporated in October of 2000 as a non-profit association for the historical Mission Soapbox Derby. Our executive and members live and work in Mission and the surrounding communities. We rely upon local businesses for corporate sponsorship, including the District of Mission.

Over 150 volunteers are needed to help organize and participate in this event. This is a community event and without the support of community groups, businesses and private citizens, this event would not be possible.
