Greetings what advice do you have for beginning writers? I have no professional experience, but I do have passion and a team of people that believe in me! Any advice is appreciated. Thank you

Hello! It is always nice to see a beginner who is excited to perfect their craft. The best thing anyone can do to get better at something is practice. So just going at it and writing is a GREAT way to get better at it. Another good way to get better at writing is reading. Find an author who inspires you and whose style you really admire. In the very beginning try to emulate them and write the way they do. Then once you become more confident in your abilities try to add your own voice into it. Another thing to read is writing about writing. Find articles and books about writing in different styles. Read them and take notes. Most books about creative writing will have little exercises to do after each section. Doing those will help because that’s what they’re meant to do. The final piece of advice I can give is going online and finding websites that give prompts. Not only will they help stimulate your brain into thinking of your own ideas, but it will also give you a chance to try a bunch of different styles of writing. This will help you find your voice and help you hone your craft. Again I can’t stress enough how important it is to practice. Just to keep writing as much as you possibly can. With that kind of dedication and effort there is no way your writing can’t get better.

Happy Writing,
