SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT

Wet snow for the Mountain Passes. Where: Coquihalla Highway, Allison Pass, Okanagan Connector, and Kootenay Pass. When: This morning. What: Snowfall amounts of a trace to 5 cm for Coquihalla Pass, Allison Pass and Helmer Lake areas. Okanagan Connector 10 to 15 cm. Transportation routes may be impacted. Travellers should be prepared for rapidly changing weather conditions. Remarks: Snow levels are currently hovering near pass level for most high elevation travellers routes this morning. Wet snow is expected through the morning. Snow level are forecast to rise near midday with snow either easing or transitioning to rain showers. Check https://www.drivebc.ca for current road conditions. Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Road conditions are available at drivebc.ca.
