Mr. James Alton Crump, 92, of Elberton Hwy, Hartwell, died Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Hart Care Center.
Born on November 19, 1922 in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late Perry O. Crump and Dessie Ayers Crump.Mr. Crump retired from Newton Mill as a supervisor and was a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist Church.He was a US Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife: Betty Vickery Crump; one son: Stewart Crump of Hartwell; one sister: Jan C. Burgess of Lavonia. Mr. Crump was preceded in death by his four brothers: Jack Crump, Hoyt Crump, Mack Crump and Wayne Crump; and one sister: Audrey McCall.
A private graveside service will be held at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
