Bishop Alexander Carter Catholic Secondary School will be hosting the Ten Thousand Villages Giving B.A.C. Alternative Gift Fair Nov. 26 from 4-8 p.m. and Nov. 27 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The Giving B.A.C. Alternative Gift Fair is an opportunity to give back to the global community and honor your loved ones simultaneously by making donations to support those in need, or making purchases that fund charitable organizations, stated a press release from the school board.

During the fair, you can learn about local agencies making a difference in our community, the issues they address, and the people they help.

There will be more than $10,000 in products from Ten Thousand Villages, gift ideas from organizations like PETA, Ducks Unlimited, Lions Foundation of Canadian Guide Dogs, The Jane Goodall Institute of Canada, and work from local artisans.

On the Friday evening, there will be a spaghetti dinner, and on Saturday there will be food available from Legacy Catering.

Participants have a chance to win door prizes, like a Larocque's Blue Demon Lodge cottage stay, located in River Valley, Ontario, as well as a catered family dinner by Legacy Catering.

For more information, please contact Lori Roy at Bishop Alexander Carter Catholic Secondary School at 969-2212.
