What people are saying…

“Dancing Star Birth was suggested to us by our midwife who shared that they didn’t have a strong heteronormative tone to their classes. Our path then led us to book their prenatal class and, from the moment we arrived, we knew how special the weekend would be.

The tone of the space, the thoughtfulness of our mentor Judy, her very presence of acceptance without words, the talk around how 6 couples now sitting in a comfortable room, with something so much in common but everyone on a different journey… Judy gave me the reality and beauty of both birth and postpartum, and reminded me that I was built for this however I gave birth.

Our birth story was beautiful in part to many of Judy’s teachings and now we can’t stop sharing what a special part of our birth journey Dancing Star Birth was.”

When should I start my childbirth class?

Sign up early if you can so you get the class you want. Most people are in their third trimester when they start their prenatal class. We recommend that you sign up for a prenatal class that finishes within 3 – 12 weeks of your due date.  You will appreciate having time to integrate the information and comfort measures.

Should I choose a weekend prenatal class or a weekly series?

Your work and travel schedule will likely be the most important factors but also reflect on your learning style and goals. Some do best with an immersion-style weekend class, and others prefer to progress in smaller doses with a weekly series. The content of both courses is identical. Weekly series are one evening per week for six weeks starting on the date shown; weekend classes run Friday evening and Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
