Treaty Acknowledgement Mountain View School Division is located on Treaty 2 and Treaty 4 lands, the original lands of the Anishinaabek, Ininiwak and Dakota peoples, and the homeland of the Métis Nation. We respect the Treaties that were made on these territories, and we dedicate ourselves to move forward in partnership with Indigenous communities in a spirit of truth and reconciliation.

May 5th is the National Day for Awareness of Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG), also known as “Red Dress Day.” On this day, we can show support and raise awareness by wearing red to honour the lives of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls.
