Argentina's Kidney Bean Exports Post A Improved Result
PANAMA - May 22/24 - SNS -- Shipments of kidney beans for Argentina jumped relative to the previous month in March, recent data from Instituto Nacional de Estadistica y Censos reports.
Total shipments throughout the month reached 16,170 metric tons (MT), up 58% from the previous month's total of 10,256. So far movement has reached 40,482 MT, down from 84,466 in the same period the last calendar year.
Venezuela was the most important importer during the month, receiving 5,528 MT. Turkey was the second most important destination buying 1,494 MT, followed by Spain at 1,403 MT.
Field Pea Exports From France Open On Weak Note
PANAMA - May 21/24 - SNS -- Movement of field peas for France plunged relative to the previous month in March, recent data from Eurostat shows.
Movement reached 3,366 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 78% from the 15,528 MT shipped the previous month. Exports so far total 34,522 MT, versus 47,569 during the last calendar year.
In the month, China was the largest importer, buying 1,543 MT. Switzerland was the second most important buyer receiving 1,123 MT, followed by United Kingdom at 699 MT.
