Welcome to our website. We hope that you find your experience with it both user friendly and enjoyable. We ask that you notify us if you find any inaccurate links or pages.

BUY-1-GET-1-FREE (BOGO)  We feel that the return to in-person learning is a cause for celebration! We are also very well aware of the financial pressures in recent months. For all these reasons, OSTS is providing a time limited offer for the 2023-2024 year: each returning student is eligible to invite one new participant to attend with them, completely free of charge. For the purposes of this offer, "returning" students are those who were registered for both terms last year and "new" is defined as not having attended OSTS in the previous 5 years. So find a friend, register, and have them register also! You can find clarifications of the details on the BOGO page.

Please check back here before classes begin, and click here to keep informed on the latest updates from the OSTS.

About Us

The OSTS was founded in 1964 as part of the Ottawa Presbytery of the United Church of Canada to provide theological formation to lay Christians. Over the years, it became an independent institution, pursued a more ecumenical mission and incorporated a larger interfaith perspective. Today, the OSTS opens its doors to all who have an interest in deepening their understanding of theology and spirituality.

OSTS acknowledges that it is located on the traditional unceded, unsurrendered territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin People. We are grateful to the Indigenous peoples for their guardianship – past, present and future - of this land and commit to continuing our path of exploration and discovery of their remarkable history and culture.

The OSTS has the official support of the Eastern Ontario Outaouais Regional Council, United Church of Canada, the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa, the Presbytery of Ottawa of the Presbyterian Church in Canada, and the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Ottawa.
