The escalation of home invasions, which have led to a string of beatings, terror, threats, and a brutal sexual assault in the last two months, has forced Carlsen Field residents to dip into their pockets to pay for private security to patrol their farming community.
The deceased has been identified as Marcus Williams, 44, of San Fabien Road, Gasparillo. The injured are Joseph Mollineau, 38, of Fifth Company Village, Moruga, and Christopher Tobby, 52, of Dump Road, Claxton Bay.
Former SSA director, Major Roger Best
The director of the Strategic Services Agency (SSA), Major Roger Best, has been fired. Best was sent on administrative leave on March 2 and retired Brigadier General Anthony Phillips-Spencer, T&T’s ambassador to the US, was recalled to replace Best and lead an internal audit of the SSA’s staff and equipment.
