If you know me, the following doesn’t sound like I normally speak. It sounds cheesy, but things that are cheesy aren’t genuine, and this is. So…there.
My name is Andrew Grimes. I’m starting a year long project that centers around my three joyous kids. My hope is that documenting this work will circulate love into the world and encourage others to pursue their own personal projects.
My love for my family is so simple, yet it has its minutiae. For that reason, I’m abandoning my comforts in the digital space and choosing charcoal and paper as the proper medium.
My choice of these tools demands the amount of time I am dedicating to this project. No copy and paste, free transform or layer masks to speed things up.
My plan is every day for one year, starting January 1st, 2020. Let’s see how I do.
