Queen's Cycling Club is recognized as Varsity Club which competes in the fall in the Ontario University Cup Mountain Bike Series. In the spring the team competes in the Eastern Collegiate Cycling Conference road series.

As one of Eastern Canada's most developed varsity cycling teams, our mission at Queen's University is to develop riders' passion and skills in the sport, as they pursue academic success during their time at university. Our development program features 30 undergrad and graduate members, from those competing at UCI level events to first time racers, and is open to almost anyone interested in getting involved.

MTB Season - In the fall, the team competes in the University Cup Mountain Bike Series. As one of the only collegiate series in Canada, the premier MTB event features four race weekends around Ontario, on some of the best courses the province has to offer. Extending through September to October, locations include Hardwood Hills, Albion Hills, Mansfield Field Centre, and Ganaraska Forest. Race categories include Men's A and Women's A for more experienced riders, or Men's B and Women's B for riders with little or no race experience. Points are accumulated over the four weekends, and the top school takes home the U-Cup at the end of the year.

Road Season - The team also competes in the Eastern Collegiate Cycling Conference, a U.S based road series that features top schools such as Harvard, Dartmouth, Princeton and Tufts. As one of the few Canadian schools to compete in it, the team drives down to VT, PA, and NY for three or four weekends of racing between March and April. Each weekend the team competes in a Criterium, Road Race, and Team Time Trial for team and individual points, and categories range from experienced riders to first time racers.

Off Season - During the off season, the team works together to get ready for the spring road season, as we hold team trainer sessions, Zwift group rides, fitness testing, and weekly strength sessions. We also send out a yearly training plan that features daily workouts, which riders can base their training off of. Everything isn't all about riding though, as the team also holds many charity events, social events, and team bonding activities throughout the year.

In Season - During the fall semester, the team runs group road and mountain bike rides everyday up until December, which range in distance and speed depending on the day. Riders can also expect the option of participating in team practices, on-the-bike skills sessions, and team tactics meetings.
