O meni

DSC00605

My name is Tamara Radak and I’m housewife. Currently I am living in France, the land of cheese, wine and incredible desserts. It has been a year since I discovered the wonderful world of cuisine and found great pleasure in creating and preparing delicious cakes, cookies, pies ….
I’ve always had this impulse to create beauty. The idea that I was able to make someone smile with something that I made, filled me with the desire to be more skilled. The next surprise always had to be better and bigger (and now tastier).
In high school, I began to make decorative boxes for birthday presents. I wanted my friends to have a special memento that will show them how much they mean to me. The first such gift I made for my godmother and a very dear friend. As far as I know, it still stands on her shelf. However, a strange combination of circumstances, some would say life, have happened and I left that hobby.
Arriving in France, I discovered the world of gourmets, where my love for beauty as much as for delicious, completely fit into the culture of the incredible pleasure of food. Since I already spend most of my time cooking, I started paying attention on taste, but also on how my meals appear, how am I serving them, shape, color, all tiny details. For health reasons, I had to adapt the recipes, change them a bit, find a replacement for eggs and reduce the amount of sugar.
I live in a country where I am a stranger and most of my friends are also foreigners. The real challenge is to make sweats that will please this diverse group of people from all over the world: Canada, Italy, Belgium, Brazil… Of course, chocolate cake is always a winner but for a beginner a bit too complicated. My dear cousin found a simple recipe for cheesecake where the preparation needed only hand whisk. And so I started. Of course the first time was not perfect, but after a few attempts, I decided to prepare it for my husband’s birthday. My cheesecake was gone after just a few minutes. Over time, for every celebration it has become normal for me to make this phenomenal and a very simple dessert. That’s how I got my nickname cheesecake fairy.
Since the interest for the recipe and detailed instructions started to grow, I have decided to start a web site (more like a personal blog)dedicated to wonderful world of sweats. My wish is to share with you all a wonderful experience of preparing cakes, successful and less successful, beautiful and organized or even more beautiful and totally chaotic. I will try to be as detailed as I can and with more pictures to recreate the process of preparation. Also, I plan to write sometimes a text about the history of cheese, their origin and development.
I am enthusiastically looking forward your comments, experiences, and of course the occasional photo.
I hope that our companionship will last long and I send you all greetings and kisses from bottom of my heart.
