Avoid Basement Flooding

Basement flooding is unfortunately a common occurrence in many parts of Canada. Basement flooding related insurance claims in Canada are estimated to be in the order of $140 million per year based on a multi-year average. This represents an average of approximately 30,000 to 40,000 incidents per year, with an average cost of damages per flooding incident between $3,000 and $5,000. Many cases of basement flooding are not reported. But the good news is that many types of basement flooding may be avoided. Read on to learn about some practical steps to avoid basement flooding.

There's no place like home - and sometimes it seems like there's no place safer. For seniors, however, the home is where many injuries occur, and most of these are due to falls. You might think that "accidents just happen" and that nothing can really be done to prevent them. Not so. Customer Testimonial

CustomerTestimonial

"I love my Security ONE security system. I am finally able to sleep at night, knowing that I have an alarm system and that if anyone tries to enter a doorway in my home, Security ONE will be there for me.

The service I received from Donna was very professional and she answered all of the questions we had at the time a system was being purchased and installed into my past home. When I moved out on my own I was very nervous since I never lived on my own before. I bought a house that had a security system installed already.  Donna answered all my questions about setting up a new account and more security products that I could have installed.

The installer was very professional and answered my questions and even made a few suggestions to me about how I should be securing my home and the settings for the security system. Whenever I have questions about my system I just pick up the phone and call Security ONE and the office staff are more than happy to assist me or answer my questions. Thanks Security ONE for giving me a secure feeling in my own home."

Dumb Criminals

DumbCriminals

A guy walked into a little corner store with a shotgun and demanded all the cash from the cash drawer. After the cashier put the cash in a bag, the robber saw a bottle of scotch that he wanted behind the counter on the shelf. He told the cashier to put it in the bag as well, but he refused and said "Because I don't believe you are over 21." The robber said he was, but the clerk still refused to give it to him because he didn't believe him. At this point the robber took his drivers license out of his wallet and gave it to the clerk. The clerk looked it over, and agreed that the man was in fact over 21 and he put the scotch in the bag. The robber then ran from the store with his loot. The cashier promptly called the police and gave the name and address of the robber that he got off the license. They arrested the robber two hours later.
