For 36 years, the BIPEX/Picture Postcard Show, in London, England has been the highlight of the year for postcard collectors around the world. Recently it has been held in August in Lawrence Hall, Greycoat Street, Westminster, the newer of the Royal Horticultural Halls, just a stone’s throw from Westminster Cathedral. With its high, vaulted ceilings and art deco interior, it has been a wonderful setting for England’s premier picture postcard show. Many overseas collectors, your Editor included, would schedule an annual visit to London to coincide with BIPEX, to meet over 70 dealers and renew friendships with other collectors. We’ve sometimes seen Canadian postcards at BIPEX that have never found their way into dealers’ boxes back home.
