The Town of Sylvan Lake has been working cooperatively with the Bell Group, over the last several years, on a major revitalization of our downtown. In successfully completing over $1B of development projects across North America, I have experienced various levels of competency regarding development management, zoning, planning, entitlement, and development. Our past projects included many types of real estate development-from bare land rezoning, servicing, subdivision, and development to multifamily development and master planned communities. I have been working with the Bell Group, Mr. Bellavance, and his team since 2018. Originally, I was hired as a consultant to work on a specific project and then morphed into a independent contactor. In both capacities, I found them to be very effective working with Municipal/Provincial regulators, owners and contractors providing oversight and management that allowed projects to run smoothly without delays. When my contract was completed in 2019, I retained the services of Bell Group to assist me with a real estate investment of my own. Tourism Red Deer contracted Bell Group to perform the duties of Interim Executive Director for our organization in 2019. The Board was very pleased with the performance of Vicki Kurz, Senior Consultant at Bell Group. She was met with many challenges during this time and completed assigned tasks with professionalism and creativity. Vicki worked with us to identify a new strategic plan, mission and vision and to roll out job description and key priorities to the staff. She also brought organization and structure to the staff and Board. She was always looking at innovative ways to grow Tourism Red Deer and the tools that we needed in order to do so. Vicki was engaged through a contract extension to complete some tourism industry engagement tasks and to train the incoming Executive Director.
