Carton sealers are generally divided into four basic categories; semi-automatic uniform, fully automatic uniform, semi-automatic random and fully automatic random models.
Uniform box sealers are suited for production runs where a single size box is being taped closed for a significant run time.
Random machines are used in a distribution setting or where production lines are merged so that boxes of different sizes are introduced into the carton sealing taper in a random manner.
Semi-automatic models require an operator to hold down the flaps while the box is introduced into the sealer while a fully automatic model runs labour free and is cost effective in high volume operations where the labor component can focus on other aspects of the production line.
