Welcome to Cedarview! What kind of a church are we? An imperfect one to be sure: we don’t have it all together here. But we do have variety! it seems by God’s grace he’s brought together a real mix of people, from all kinds of different backgrounds, who finding hope in Jesus together here in southwest Ottawa. We hope we can be a spiritual home for those on the same quest, or those who have questions about it.
It’s also a church that belongs to the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada. It’s Christian because we believe that right now Jesus is the center of an epic rescue mission that God has begun in the world, which is good news for every single person on earth. It’s ‘missionary’ in the sense that this news is meant to be shared clearly, respectfully and broadly; whether that is here in our community, or in places where few or none know Jesus.
We gather in a variety of ways together to re-orient our lives around the teaching and example of Jesus, discovering along the way that we too play a part in God’s grand redemptive plan for the world.
