Our Services

We provide 24/7 care to clients, based on their assessed unmet needs.

Personal Care

assisting clients with critical day-to-day activities that they are unable to perform on their own, such as bathing, showering, applying non medicated creams and lotions, dressing, toileting, and tuck-ins.

Nutritional care

Providing meal preparation visits. Depending on client need, visits can be provided either for advanced meal prep (preparing meals so a client can reheat at a later time) or heat and serve (when clients cannot serve themselves).

Palliative Care

Palliative care is specialized medical care for people living with a serious illness, such as cancer or heart failure. Patients in palliative care may receive medical care for their symptoms, or palliative care, along with treatment intended to cure their serious illness.

Respite care

Providing meaningful visits to a client who cannot stay alone, and caregiver requires a temporary relief from the emotional and physical demands of caring for a family member.

Light housework

Providing light housekeeping tasks such as sweeping or vacuuming floors, washing floors, cleaning the bathroom, and assisting with laundry.

Adult Day Program

Our Adult Day Program (ADP) provides services to several Continuing Care clients daily. Our doors are open from 9am to 3pm and we are staffed by an LPN and 2 CCAs.

Our Mission

The mission of the Agency is to deliver a range of quality services to residents of all ages in Digby County. The array of services will meet client's assessed unmet needs while maintaining their maximum independence safely, and with dignity, while living in their own home environment.

Digby Clare Home Support

We are a bilingual, non-profit agency contracted by the Department of Health and Wellness. Our mandate is to provide home support services to our clients in their own homes by our fully trained Continuing Care Assistants. Our service area is the Digby County which includes Digby Neck and Islands, Digby town/municipality, Weymouth, and Clare municipality.

We provide a quality service, which means an equitable cost-effective program.
