AN AERIAL PHOTOGRAPH IS A POWERFUL MARKETING TOOL! If you are a real estate agent or business owner marketing or promoting a rural property, farm, acreage, waterfront property, recreational property, RV park, campground, ski resort, winery, industrial site, golf course, or other business, an aerial photograph is an extremely powerful visual marketing tool, especially when it is in combination with the breathtaking scenery of BC!  My services are available to real estate agents, law firms, insurance companies, accident site investigators, logging contractors, government departments, construction site project companies, planning departments, mortgage lenders, magazines, newspapers and private individuals.

Aerial Photography Rates for 2008

Single Property within 40 km of the Kamloops airport (CYKA):
For Commercial Customers: $270.00
For Non-Commercial Private Use: $170.00

Additional Properties in the same general direction (quadrant) and on the same flight
 within 40 km of CYKA: $100.00 for 1^st, and $75.00 for every additional property.

Properties outside 40 km CYKA: additional $10.00 per 5 km or part thereof

Shoots requiring flights to other regions/airports, e.g. Salmon Arm, Cache Creek, Merrit, Revelstoke, Williams Lake etc., and/or multiple properties in different directions may be quoted at a flat rate for the entire job.

Multiple customer orders can be combined for an overall lower average cost to each.

My name is Dr. J. Norman Reed and I am available to provide you with high quality digital (or film if you prefer) aerial photographs of any area in the Kamloops and surrounding region suitable for newspaper or magazine ads and for printing up to 8 X 12 prints.  Because I am a photographer who is also a pilot AND who is the owner of an aircraft that can be used to take obstruction free aerial photos, I can provide this service at a much cheaper price than hiring out a photographer who in turn must make arrangements to higher out a pilot and an aircraft.  From my own experience, it is difficult for a photographer to get exactly the shot he/she wants when someone else is flying the aircraft and the photographer is taking the pictures.  It is actually simpler to line the aircraft up yourself as pilot/photographer and start shooting.  The aircraft I use can be flown slow enough to get good detailed pictures without obstructions (such as wheels and wings).  Using a vibration reducing lens, the results are excellent.

Multiple shoots were you share the cost with others are possible.  In all cases a consultation is required by phone or email exchange in order for me to establish a firm detailed quote for your needs.

Here Are Some Points To Consider About the Aerial Photography Service I am Offering:

· Since I own the aircraft, it is generally available on very short notice, weather and maintenance scheduling permitting

· For each of your subject properties I take a minimum of 24 pictures from different angles, ensuring my clients a number of high quality photos

· People always pause and look in detail at an aerial photo

· An aerial photo of your home, acreage, business or construction site can be a valuable business or family historical record

· Photos can be downloaded to you from anywhere instantly if the subject is time sensitive

· You may use the photos for any purpose, as many times as you wish for as long as you wish.  The only limitation is that the copyright for all photos remains with me and you agree that you are not allowed to re-sell the photos to a third party for commercial purposes.

Timelines

· Generally orders will be completed within one week of initiation, weather permitting.

· Depending on my other commitments, weather and aircraft readiness, “emergency”, “last minute” or otherwise time sensitive shoots are possible, especially with extended evening light in the summer.

· It is important I know exactly where the subject property(ies) is/are located and exactly what it is I need to take a picture of.  If you provide a ground based snap shot, good map detail and, ideally, the latitude and longitude of the target(s) from a gps, it is very helpful.

Example Aerial Photography Cost Scenarios (in all cases rates for commercial customers are quoted, rates for private individuals would be lower):

Example 1: Two properties, Property 1 at 35 km and Property 2 at 43 km in the same general direction (quadrant) from CYKA:

Base Rate for Property 1………………. $270.00

+ Additional km to Property 2……….. $10.00

Example 2: Three properties at 50, 60 and 70 km distance from CYKA in the same general direction (quadrant) from CYKA:

+ Additional 10 km to Property 2…… $20.00

+ Base Rate for Property 3……………. $75.00

Example 3: Three properties at 35, 60 and 80 km from CYKA.  Properties 1 and 2 in the same general direction, Property 3 in the opposite direction to Properties 1 and 2:

Base Rate for Property 1…………… $270.00

+Base Rate for Property 2………….. $100.00

+Additional 20 km for Property 2...     $40.00

+The cheaper of (a) Base rate for Property 3 as third property ($75.00) + 80 km extra from CYKA ($160.00) = $235  OR (b) Property 3 charged as single property ($270) + 40 km extra ($80.00) = $330.00
