About Skimo

Coaching is my favourite hobby. I began coaching roller derby in September 2013. Prior to that I have coached several other sports: Speed Skating, Rock Climbing, Sailing, Archery, Kayaking and a few others. The majority of my personal sports training was spent speed skating, where I competed for 8 years. In my final two years I won the BC provincial championships both years! I find that this has assisted greatly in my ability to be a well rounded roller derby coach. I am comfortable providing a strong foundation of skating skills to players while also supplying roller derby specific training.

I am presently the head coach for Team Canada Women's Roller Derby, Team Alberta, and North Coast Nightmares. I coach on the road as often as possible and have had the pleasure of working with a long list of teams and skaters. I have coached over 100 games and 750 practices in my 9 seasons.

I love to travel and participate in roller derby in as many places and with as many people as possible.
