People I work with and my clients have mentioned I might want to have a bio on my site so you can get to know me a little better, so here`s my kick at the can. I`m not sure where to start. Maybe I should tell you about how my grandmother (Nana, she was awesome) gave me an old 110mm camera when I was about 7 years old, or how I used to steal my dad’s Canon AE-1 and sneak some shots of whatever seemed interesting to a 10 year old boy. Somehow he always used to find out.

I guess the first hint that I was really getting serious was I`d skip class (…not that I’m advocating skipping class in any way) to spend hours printing and developing roll and after roll of film in the darkroom in high school. Photos, and chemicals, and creativity just always seemed more interesting. I was lucky enough to learn some darkroom techniques from Terry, the great Yousuf Karsh’s darkroom technician (dude’s got skills); and it was there were I was able to start learning how to express my vision and develop my photo processing methods that help give my photos the look they have today.

So many great people have been involved to help me do what I do; from family and friends, associates and co-workers, amazing clients, to publications that have run my work.
