Wow, here we are in New Delhi, India! It’s been over 5 weeks since we arrived, Chris and the girls have finished their 4th week of school and our brief summer in Canada seems like a distant memory. I will attempt to document some of our explorations, adventures, observations, and travels on this site for those of you who are interested.
Our arrival here was wonderful and the initial settling in went quite smoothly. There were greeters with flowers to meet us at the airport, a furnished apartment, and food in the fridge – what more could we ask for?
First impressions of New Delhi are hot and humid!! Wow – more hot and humid than I have ever experienced. When we’re outside, day or night, we are sweating. If we do anything active, we are drenched. In spite of that we’re able to stay pretty active and are loving the community here.
New Delhi is much more green than I expected with beautiful trees everywhere and several parks nearby. It’s been interesting to explore and I look forwardto getting out and about in the weeks and months to come.
