My name is Travis Best and here you can learn a little bit about me. I am 25 years old and living in beautiful Vancouver, BC. I have been attending the Art Institute of Vancouver for the last 18 months to complete my Visual & Game Programming Diploma. Over my time in the course I have developed my skills in game design & production, going from a simple design document to working on a game with a team of 20. What I have available is a brief overview of the skill set I have developed, which you can find on the links to the right.

Prior to attending the Art Institute of Vancouver I also received my Computer Engineering Technologist Diploma from Red River College in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This program covered computers from all aspects. This included hardware design and installation, circuit and peripheral assembly, networking design and management, as well as programming of user applications and logic boards. The program was heavily focused on the hardware side of things but did delve into programming for managing input data from the devices we created and the programming of the hardware itself.

I worked in the industry for a short period of time but found I was enjoying working on side projects using game tools more, deciding to make the move to Vancouver to get into the game industry.
