Toronto Electrical JAC aims at attracting the best candidates

The Joint Apprenticeship Council (JAC) is excited to announce its rebranding and new approach to attracting and hiring only the best electrical pre-apprentices in the GTA.  The JAC has changed its name to the Electrical Apprentice Training Alliance, and launched a new recruitment and selection strategy.

The Electrical Apprentice Training Alliance will now offer an online process that would allow potential candidates to apply at any time. The online service will provide prospective candidates with relevant information on the electrical trade, and helpful tips at managing the application process.  Skills and aptitude assessments will be done online, and the process will be completed by quarterly interviews by representatives of Local Union (LU) 353 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and the Greater Toronto Electrical Contractors Association (ECA).

The Electrical Apprentice Training Alliance is sponsored by the Greater Toronto ECA and IBEW LU 353. It has been recruiting and selecting pre-apprentices and apprentices for the electrical trade for over 50 years. Over 8,000 electricians currently working in the GTA have successfully completed its program.
