How can you integrate photogrammetry and LIDAR scans into a 3D rendering pipeline?
This is where some interesting techniques have been developed. What I generally do when creating a model is actually acquire the textures in a completely different pass from the geometry. I may use LiDAR for the geometry and combine in a close photogrammetry pass for high resolution texture maps. Else, far passes of photogrammetry for geometry and close for higher detail in textures. At any rate, certain makes of drone (ahem... DJI) have issues with the Z dimension (altitude) and you need to take special care in making sure all the coordinates of your passes sync up.

How can you integrate photogrammetry and LIDAR scans into a 3D rendering pipeline?
LiDAR scans appear as point clouds. Sometimes colored, sometimes not. You'll want to use your processing software to create geometry. But with the density of LiDAR (or even some photogrammetry), you'll want to "desimate" your model (meaning cut down the number of polygons) before they become useful... especially if you're going to incorporate them in quick renders such as video games or the metaverse.

How can you integrate photogrammetry and LIDAR scans into a 3D rendering pipeline?
Generally speaking, you don't really go directly from photogrammetry / LiDAR to lighting. First, you'd have to consider the lighting when you ran your missions. It freezes that lighting into the model you create (especially with photogrammetry). Sometimes you can minimize shadows with tools in some photogrammetry packages. But inevitably you'll have to do some editing of the original textures to remove shadows before lighting. Or, another approach is to match the lighting and in your virtual environment to turn off "self shading." That way, you're matching the sun position so any new objects still interract and cast shadows on your scan without doubling the photogrammetry shadows with the rendered shadows.

Buildbox is an “any skill level” development platform to develop video games with no coding experience. It also exports these games to be compiled for any platform (from Windows to Mac to iOS to Android and Blackberry) all using the same graphic user interface.
Using an example as a tutorial, we will relate the driving principles and you’ll see how you can implement these principles to develop any games on the platform. We begin by setting expectations and providing a brief overview of the software. But it’s not long before you “dive in” to creating your first video game. You will actually have a playable level (“world”) by the end of the second chapter.
Later on, you’ll learn everything from basic graphics creation to advanced world design while you refine your first game, called “Ramblin’ Rover.” All along the way, you will see how certain functions could be used in tandem to create other types of games; hoping to spark imagination. We will follow the principles and process of monetization through ads and in-game rewards.
Lastly, we will go through the process of exporting, compiling, and preparing your storefront to sell the games you will eventually create. -
