PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING (PET)

FUNDING IS AVAILABLE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR, APRIL 1, 2024 to MARCH 31, 2025

Through PET Program, OCASI aims to make funding available to ORGANIZATIONS and their INDIVIDUAL STAFF for INDIVIDUAL course training at any institution of their choice and/or In-house GROUP professional development training to improve settlement services by addressing gaps in skills, knowledge, and attitudes of service providers within each participating agency.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

WHO CAN APPLY?


An INDIVIDUAL whose salary comes from IRCC can apply for up to $1000 to take course/s at an institution of their choice. Course/s must fit their job description or benefit the work of the sector. HST WILL BE PAID ON TOP OF THE COURSE FEE.

An ORGANIZATION which is funded by IRCC may apply for $3000 to deliver In-House Group Training and, if approved, be reimbursed up to $3000 (for facilitator's fees ONLY). HST, IF SHOWN ON THE RECEIPT will be paid at the time of the reimbursement. An organization seeking to access financial support for training must complete employee training needs assessment and/or OrgWise organizational self-assessment to determine the gaps in skills and knowledge of their employees or organizational systems respectively.

NOTE: ALL APPLICATIONS MUST NOT HAVE AN END DATE BEYOND MARCH 31, 2025

Organization answer both or one of the following questions when you complete the application form under Course Information:

(a) Have you done any In-house Needs Assessment with your staff for the topic you will be delivering for group training? Please share the result in your application.
