Matching Campaign: Double Your Impact!

To double your impact and help raise the thermometer:

Today marks the launch of an inspiring matching campaign led by our esteemed past Board Director and Canadian Artist, Amy Shackleton, who has generously pledged to match donations up to $5,000! This initiative couldn't come at a more crucial time, as we strive to keep art accessible within our shared Clarington community. With the campaign running until the end of June, coinciding with Amy’s upcoming artist residency in London, every contribution will directly support our mission.

As our shared community continues to grow and evolve, so too does our commitment to adapt and innovate. We recognize the importance of staying attuned to the changing needs and dynamics of Clarington, and it’s through collective efforts like this matching campaign that we can ensure the VAC remains a hub of creativity, learning, and inspiration for generations to come.

Without these vital funds, sustaining affordable prices becomes challenging, hindering our ability to offer the diverse and enriching art programs that define our community. Join us in ensuring that creativity thrives and remains within reach for all who seek it. Donate today and have your impact doubled!

Supporting contemporary artistic innovation and education

As a cultural institution, we value diverse perspectives and experiences that add complexity and nuance to the questions and ideas we explore.

The VAC is committed to presenting challenging, dialogue-producing experiences whose purpose is to use art as a means of knowledge production and promotion to enact social change through meaningful discussions between the public, artists, and the institution.

We respect the diversity of ideas and support different perspectives through equity and inclusive practice.
