Sensei Mike has been teaching and training Goju Karate for over 3 decades.   He is a 7th degree black belt and a long-time student of Hanshi Jay Purdy. He was fortunate to receive personal instruction from Dai Sensei Meitoku Yagi, direct successor to the founder of Goju-ryu Karate, Master Chojun Miyagi.

Elmira Karate Dojo is a traditional dojo with a modern approach. Kyoshi Mike has had many students attain the black belt level. and is dedicated to providing high quality karate instruction for students of all abilities.

Since the 2020 global pandemic, all classes have been consolidated at Elora Karate Dojo, a 20 minute drive from Elmira.
